  • Study of the neuroprotective effect of different drugs during therapeutic hypothermia in the Rice- Vannucci rat model of hypoxic-ischemic brain injury
  • Study of modulators of key signaling molecules as potential drugs in an experimental model of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and steatohepatitis (NAFLD/NASH, MASLD/MASH)
  • Animal models of various diseases (eg rodent acute liver failure, drug-induced hepatotoxicity, hyperbilirubinemia in Gunn rats, autoimmune-induced encephalomyelitis)
  • Primary hepatocyte and adipocyte cell cultures
  • In vitro testing of potentially anti-inflammatory drugs on PBMC cultures
  • Preclinical pharmacokinetics
  • Investigations on common molecular mechanisms of extensively studied medicinal plants' active constituents with hepatoprotective properties with focus on the role of SIRT1 and AMPK
